So, the blogger in me has returned after a brief hiatus...a delicious hiatus! Events like a cross country move and reinvigorating a business will do that! Now that things have settled down a bit, I can refocus on bringing topics that allow you to live deliciously.
Thanks for being so patient. Now on deliciousness!

Christmas Reflections
With Christmas only a week away, I find myself once again running around getting out last minute orders while squeezing in all the fun-filled activities my family enjoys. But as I sit here on this still morning, catching my breath before my energized children awaken, my mind ponders the bewilderment and expectation that Mary, the mother of Jesus, must have felt. Hers was not a journey of celebration. On the contrary, it was a journey of sacrifice...to be counted for taxes! Could you imagine riding on a donkey in your ninth month of pregnancy? Hardly a luxurious arrangement. The ridicule she received as a betrothed pregnant bride....the disappointment that her family may have felt...the loss of friends...all to bring a life.....the Savior's life.....into the world. While we prepare outwardly with the presents, decorations and delicious meals, let us be forever mindful that the most important way we can celebrate this season is with the internal renewing of the heart. As always, live deliciously......be inspired!

Sleep: Nature's Simple Beauty Secret
Greetings Friends!
As the holidays approach, many of us may experience sleepless nights. Anxiety over impending family visits or a little overindulgence in that turkey dinner can often trigger a restless night. Hopefully, the following tips and delicious sleep ritual will help you get the rest your body needs!
Insomnia Triggers
Here are the main culprits to avoid:
Caffeine: Because it stimulates the body and brain, limit your intake after 2 pm.
Heavy meals: especially late in the evening can lead to indigestion and stomach cramping.
Salty and sugary foods/snacks: both of these can increase your level of alertness and prevent you from falling asleep.
A Delicious Sleep Ritual
Take a warm bath about an hour before bedtime for 20 to 30 minutes. After bathing, gently dry your body off and moisturize your skin with a luxurious body butter like Black Raspberry Indulgence. Dress in a comfortable nightgown.
Drink a cup of peppermint or chamomile tea before bed. For milk lovers, a warm glass of skim milk with honey will do!
Gaze at a lighted candle for a few minutes before you close your eyes.
Take 10 deep cleansing breaths; wait 5 minutes, then take 10 more. Repeat if necessary until relaxation occurs.
As you lie on your back, think of each body part as heavy and relaxed. Start with the feet and slowly move to your head.

Got Delicious Skin?
As mothers, we spend so much time taking care of our loved ones and so little time taking care of ourselves! Here are a few tips for the busy mom:
*Remove all your make up before you go to bed. Wash your face twice daily to get the make up off and to give your skin a moment to breath.
*Use a facial mask on a regular basis or even everyday. You can even make one at home: mash up some banana or avocado and slosh it on. You could even dish out some yogurt and use it.
*To keep skin baby soft use a good body scrub like Honey Brown Sugar Scrub by Delicious Retreats (http://www.deliciousretreats.com/) at least once a week. Believe me you will love the skin you are in!
*Keep your skin moisturized all throughout the day. Simply, fill a spray bottle with distilled water and add a tinge of rose essential oil and a tiny bit of vitamine E oil, shake a bit and then spray on! You can even use this on top of make up!
*For good skin, keep the stress at bay! If you have, it’s going to show everywhere! Take time off to do something you love, EVERYDAY. Your face is the index of your mind, so show it some love!
Live deliciously......be inspired!
